Medical Receptionist - Dermatology

We are looking for a part-time receptionist to join our growing team! While we prefer candidates with medical office experience, this is not a requirement. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment where multi-tasking and attention to detail are critical.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scheduling & Check-In

• Managing a dynamic schedule for 3 providers
• Scheduling patients over the phone and in-person
• Calling and confirming appointments
• Verifying patient insurance information prior to appointment
• Collecting co-pays and outstanding balances at time of check-in

Communications

• Answering inbound calls from patients, clinics, and others
• Routing calls to appropriate teams when necessary
• Diligently monitor voicemails, email, faxes, and test messages to ensure all inquiries are handled promptly
• Faxing patient charts and pathology reports to referring clinics and providers

Office Administration

• Ensuring waiting area is tidy and that patient drink station is stocked
• Ensuring employee breakroom is stocked
• As needed, assisting with washing and folding clinic-related laundry
• Monitoring and ordering office, medical or other general supplies
