Duration: 14 Weeks
Shift: Night | 7:30 PM–8:00 AM
Schedule: 3 days/week | 11.5 hours/shift | 34.5 hours/week

Pay Range: $80.00 - $85.00/hour

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to provide comprehensive nursing care to maternal and newborn patients in a hospital setting.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License.

• Primary Source Verification of RN License and Registration through NYSED.

• AHA BLS Certification.

• AHA ACLS Certification.

• NRP Certification.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal and Child experience.

• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion experience.

• Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience.

• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience.

• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery unit.

• Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and identify changes in patient status.

• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum care according to facility protocols.

• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures as required.

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately.

• Provide care involving conscious sedation according to established protocols.

• Monitor patients during procedures and assess responses to medications and treatments.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and clinical documentation.

• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

• Educate and support patients and families throughout the labor and delivery process.

• Follow infection-control procedures, patient-safety standards, and hospital policies.

• Respond appropriately to urgent maternal or fetal conditions and follow emergency protocols.

• Maintain compliance with required licenses, certifications, and facility requirements.

• Perform other Labor & Delivery RN duties as assigned.
