General contractor laborer

Trueway Contracting of Georgia

Job Description

The General Contractor Laborer plays a versatile role in supporting construction projects of mixed sizes. Working within a small team, this position involves handling materials, operating equipment, assisting with various construction tasks including demolition, concrete work, carpentry, electrical, and fencing. The laborer is expected to travel daily between sites and occasionally operate specialized machinery to ensure project completion.

Responsibilities

Handle and transport construction materials efficiently
Operate general and specialized equipment as required
Assist with demolition, remodeling, and concrete tasks
Support carpentry and electrical work on site
Use hand tools safely to complete assigned tasks
Perform cleanup duties to maintain safe work environments
Collaborate with arborists and assist in fencing installations
Travel daily between multiple construction sites as directed

Required Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in construction labor

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of construction safety practices
Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools
Strong physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
Basic carpentry skills
Effective teamwork and communication abilities
Good time management skills
