QTS offers critical end-of-line services for medical device OEMs including finished device assembly, packaging and sterilization management. QTS is part of the Cretex Medical family of companies.

Responsibilities

QTS is currently seeking an energetic, responsive, and well-organized full-time Sterilization Technician (Sterilization Support Assistant). This position will be responsible for providing support to the Sterilization Scientists & Validation Engineers for product sterilization and cleaning processes. This position will work with direction from the Sterilization Scientists and Validation Engineers, on sterilization validation and routine maintenance of sterilization processes, interactions with labs, cleaning processes, and applicable schedules. This position will also support documentation updates for sterilization and cleaning processes and maintain the environmental monitoring program. This position interacts and coordinates activities per the company's quality systems procedure and adheres to FDA, GMP, and ISO regulations.

Sterilization Technician Job Summary:

• Provide support for the sterilization and cleaning processing.
• Complete activities for the environmental monitoring program.
• Perform sterilization and cleaning experiments.
• Draw samples for validation testing.
• Sample preparation and placement for sterilization and cleaning study requirements.
• Support outside testing and analytical service providers.
• Support routine radiation dose audits & EO re-qualifications.
• Support routine EO sterilization production.
• Maintain lab and test forms, and templates.
• Complete change requests as directed.
• Manage, set up, and update schedules for sterilization and assessments.
• Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.

Qualifications

Sterilization Technician Skills and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year degree in a technical field required, with an emphasis in Biology or Microbiology or related experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), with a preference for those skilled in advanced functions (e.g., Visual Basic, ability to set up automations, etc.).
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Biology/Microbiology BA/BS degree.
• 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
• Familiar with medical device and cleanroom manufacturing practices.
• Microbiology as applicable to medical device sterilization.
• Technical writing skills.
• Strong math skills, including knowledge of statistical methods.
• Experience working in a regulated environment.
• Familiarity with applicable AAMI, ASTM, ISO standards related to medical device sterilization and cleaning.

Pay Range

USD $46,600.00 - USD $57,100.00 /Yr.
