(Only QUALIFIED Healthcare Professionals accepted) Medical Technologist - Histology - NEW Histotech OR Histology Technician OR HT Opening at a large laboratory that provides comprehensive anatomic, clinical and molecular pathology services. This laboratory specializes in hematology|oncology, dermatology, urology, gynecology, non-gyn cytopathology, neuropathology and forensic medicine (as well as others). Also, this laboratory is fully certified by the state of Tennessee, College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Joint Commission as well as the Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).

This laboratory is looking to hire a permanent and full time Histotech OR Histology Technician on a rotating DAY shift. The Histology Technologist is responsible for various duties to include accessioning, gross examination of tissue specimens, functioning independently under direction of the pathologists and various histology duties to include: embedding, cutting, staining and coverslipping of slides. For consideration, applicants must have an Associates Degree in Histology (or related field) in addition to a HT OR HTL Certification through ASCP (or equivalent). In addition, applicants MUST have experience with embedding and cutting.
