TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Saint Louis, Missouri, 63110!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience required License: Active local or compact nursing license required Certifications: BCLS required, ACLS preferred, must pass an EKG exam Must-Have: EPIC proficiency required Description: Can sign for 36 or 48 hours per week. Start date is 3-4 weeks out per compliance tier. Patient-to-nurse ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5. First-time travelers are welcome. Weekend requirements include working every other weekend. On-call shifts are not required. Clinicians may float within the service line to meet facility needs. Block schedule accommodations are not available. Travelers must stay within a 75-mile radius for housing. RTO restrictions allow for a maximum of 7 days per 13-week contract. Special requirements include proficiency in managing acute care cases such as renal failure, pneumonia, and diabetes. Facility type includes a short-term acute care center. The hospital is a Magnet and teaching hospital with a Level I trauma center. Total staffed beds are 1,266. All nursing staff are required to wear navy blue scrubs. EPIC is used for charting. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. The daily census averages around 35 patients. There is interdisciplinary support available, including physical therapy and pharmacy services. Common patient diagnoses include acute care medicine issues. Top procedures performed on patients include lab blood draws, point-of-care blood glucose testing, and EKGs. Travelers must complete necessary compliance requirements before their start date. Travelers who do not meet certification requirements will not be able to complete the assignment. Modules must be completed pre-start and are required for nursing staff. All RTO requests must be finalized at the time of submission. No new RTO requests or schedule changes can be made after submission or once the assignment starts. Fit testing for personal protective equipment will be required. Facial hair that allows for proper testing is a must.
