Maintenance TechnicianA maintenance technician ensures the operational safety, efficiency, and physical condition of buildings, machinery, and equipment. They are hands-on problem solvers who troubleshoot mechanical issues, execute preventive maintenance schedules, and perform a wide variety of routine repairs.Core ResponsibilitiesPreventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment, performing scheduled tune-ups, lubricating parts, and replacing components to prevent unexpected downtime.Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Safely dismantle equipment to repair or replace defective parts.Facility Upkeep: Perform general carpentry, drywall repair, and painting. Address both interior and exterior grounds maintenance.Emergency Response: Serve as the primary contact for sudden equipment breakdowns or facility-related emergencies.Documentation: Keep detailed, accurate logs of all maintenance work, repairs performed, and parts inventory using facility management software.Key Skills & RequirementsTechnical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.Trade Skills: Foundational or advanced knowledge in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment, stand for long periods, bend, and work in various weather conditions or tight spaces.Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to OSHA guidelines and company safety policies.Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
