Machinist

We are seeking a skilled Machinist with a strong attention to detail to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery, troubleshooting and repairing CNC machines, and reading and interpreting blueprints. You will also be inspecting parts before loading them into the machine.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines with precision and care.
• Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and part process sheets accurately.
• Inspect parts thoroughly before loading them into machines.
• Set up, operate, and inspect parts using CNC machines including Grinders and Mills.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in machine operation and CNC machine handling.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and part process sheets.
• Basic knowledge of G-code and CNC machine operation.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators.
• Understanding of tool offsets, speeds, and feeds.
• Comfortable with machine setup, operation, and part inspection.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in CNC setup and programming.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is for the 2nd shift, running from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, with mandatory overtime on Fridays, resulting in a typical 48-hour workweek.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tempe, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
