About the Opportunity

PHTI is seeking an Associate to help drive the execution of rigorous, evidence-based assessments of innovative digital health technologies. This role will play a crucial part in PHTI’s economic evidence review process including analyzing the economic burden of disease, evaluating company-specific economic evidence, and supporting the development of budget impact models. The Associate will also support executive-facing presentations and report drafting, and will help manage external vendors supporting the assessment process.

More specifically, the responsibilities include:

Contribute to Digital Health Technology Assessments and Knowledge

• Conduct background research on the economic burden of disease relevant to each assessment topic area.
• Analyze company-specific economic claims and evidence submitted as part of the assessment process for design, methodology and quality.
• Support development of budget impact models and help validate key assumptions.
• Extract, organize, and synthesize economic findings into coherent narratives.
• Maintain organization of economic models, data, and assumptions across internal teams throughout the assessment process.
• Draft sections of PHTI’s reports translating economic evidence into clear language for non-technical audiences.
• Project manage key report production processes.
• Stay current on emerging trends, players, policy and best practices in digital health and related fields.
• Help drive other initiatives or projects outside of core assessments in current or emerging digital health technology topics.

Support Dissemination of PHTI’s Findings

• Assist in building collateral for public dissemination.
• Create materials to drive engagement with key partners.
• Contribute to report writing based on literature review and budget model findings.
• Contribute to the creation of documents, presentations, and other collateral for conferences, advisory board and partner meetings, and webinars.

Partner Closely with Internal and External Teams

• Support engagement with external partners to drive project execution including communications, coordination, and meeting participation.
• Engage with companies under assessment to discuss submitted studies and evidence.
• Partner with internal functional expert teams such as policy and communications to drive PHTI’s objectives.
• Support an internal culture of learning and strategic decision making in service of organizational mission.
• Contribute to a culture of inquiry, experimentation, understanding of and tolerance for risk, and a commitment to continuous learning.

About the Successful Candidate

• Three years or more of experience in healthcare at a management consulting, strategy, policy analysis, life sciences, or other relevant research or consulting organization.
• Experience with data and analytics including analyzing clinical literature and creating health economic models.
• Strong critical thinking skills around healthcare and healthcare economics with the ability to evaluate complex information, identify key insights, and apply them to strategic decision-making.
• Strong Excel skills required; experience with tools such as R, SAS, Stata are a plus.
• Program, project management, or related experience.
• Intellectual curiosity and interest in healthcare delivery, healthcare system transformation, and healthcare policy.
• A bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree in health policy, public health, business or related-field preferred.
• Less than 10% travel required.
• In order to build productive relationships across the organization and to ensure effective collaboration, this role requires in-person presence in accordance with the organization’s hybrid schedule of working in the office three days per week (Monday/Tuesday/Thursday).

Salary and Benefits

We anticipate that the starting base salary range for this position will be $85,000 to $93,000, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of factors, such as skills, experience, qualifications, education, and the location in which the job will be performed.
