Physical Therapist Assistant / Outpatient Rehabilitation

Location: Northern New Hampshire, near Littleton

Full-Time | Outpatient

A community-based healthcare organization in Northern New Hampshire is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join its outpatient rehabilitation team. This is a full-time opportunity for a PTA who enjoys hands-on patient care and working collaboratively with Physical Therapists to help patients improve mobility, strength, function, and independence. The position offers a diverse outpatient caseload and an established rehabilitation team focused on individualized care.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Carry out established plans of care and therapeutic interventions
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising PT
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercise, functional mobility, strengthening, balance, and other rehabilitation activities
• Educate patients and caregivers regarding exercises, safety, and home programs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record
• Support documentation requirements for third-party reimbursement
• Collaborate with the supervising PT regarding re-evaluations, changes in patient status, and discharge planning
• Utilize appropriate therapeutic techniques and modalities within the PTA scope of practice
• Participate in departmental activities, quality initiatives, and interdisciplinary communication

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Current New Hampshire Physical Therapist Assistant license
• Current BLS certification
