We are seeking an experienced and dependable Accounting Specialist to support daily accounting and financial operations. This position will handle accounts payable, payroll, ACH payments, reconciliations, financial records, reporting, and related administrative duties.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to handle confidential information while meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and invoice processing
• Process ACH payments, checks, deposits, and other transactions
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll records
• Perform account reconciliations and financial data entry
• Maintain accurate vendor and financial records
• Review and process expense requests
• Prepare spreadsheets and financial reports
• Assist with monthly and year-end accounting activities
• Assist with LM-2 reporting and annual tax preparation
• Provide documentation to accountants, auditors, and financial institutions
• Assist with budgeting and financial planning
• Prepare meeting materials, agendas, and minutes
• Maintain confidentiality of financial, payroll, employee, and member information
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience
• Strong accounts payable and invoice processing experience
• ACH and payroll processing experience
• Experience with reconciliations and financial reporting
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• QuickBooks Desktop experience preferred
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• LM-2 or nonprofit reporting experience is a plus
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Schedule & Benefits

Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Occasional overtime as needed. This is an on-site position; remote work is not available.

Pay: $22.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
