JOB DESCRIPTION – QUALITY CONTROL

Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Conduct routine inspections of baked goods to ensure they meet visual, taste, texture, and overall quality standards. Collaborate with bakers and production staff to address any quality concerns and provide immediate feedback for improvements. Check incoming ingredients for freshness, quality, and adherence to specifications before use. Verify that the baking process follows established recipes and procedures accurately. Monitor temperature, baking time and equipment settings to ensure consistent product quality. Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with food safety regulations. Conduct regular hygiene and sanitation inspections of equipment, workspaces, and personnel. Ensure that all employees follow proper food handling, personal hygiene, and safety protocols. Collaborate with bakery team members to educate them on quality control best practices. Perform other duties assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) California Food Handlers card is required for all food service employees who prepare, store, and serve food. Bilingual – English/Spanish skills helpful, but not required. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address quality-related issues.
