Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Requires organizational, clerical, and technical skills. This includes data entry, scheduling and the ability to operate commonly used office equipment. Knowledge of Google Suites and proficient word processing is required. Should be able to troubleshoot basic issues. Requires skill in both written and verbal communication as well as the ability to collaborate with other staff members and students. Some positions may require: ELS(PARA) License (ISBE registered in DuPage Co), a valid driver's license, or musical accompaniment skill. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not all inclusive) Instructional Supervisor Assist teacher with instructional and classroom management including but not limited to attendance, inventory, lab scheduling and grading records. Responsible for student supervision. May assist or coordinate mandated school testing. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. General Assistant Greet visitors, students and staff. Receive mail and other deliveries, distribute mail, do bulk mailings and operate postage meter. Answer phone, relieve switchboard operator and operate office equipment. Responsible for maintaining and ordering inventory. Supervise student aides. Schedule appointments. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge and Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic media. Ability to write professional communications. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Ability to respond to questions from individuals and groups. Ability to complete mathematical operations and apply concepts of basic mathematics. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to maintain current job skills as directed, especially in technology-related activities. Ability to perform essential duties with an awareness of school district requirements and School Board policies. The employee may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds such as reference books. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The pace of work tasks would be considered as fast. Work is usually conducted at one job site, however, on occasion, this employee will be required to attend meetings, conferences, or workshops and events at other sites as assigned.
