You will play a key role in advancing Power Innovation initiatives, integrating emerging technologies, enhancing system reliability, and shaping the future of energy delivery. This is a high-impact role where you will operate with increasing independence while leading complex projects and influencing engineering standards and practices.Responsibilities / ExpectationsLead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructureDrive Power Innovation initiatives, including the integration of automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage, and advanced control systemsApply and enhance safety practices, including arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and protection systemsProvide technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system design for both new construction and upgradesManage engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and business objectivesEnsure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards (e.g., NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE)Analyze system performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for optimization and continuous improvementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet operational and business needsMentor and support the development of engineers, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharingInfluence engineering standards, technical strategy, and decision-making (Staff-level expectation)Other duties as assignedEducation / ExperienceRequired:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, ORBachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology (relevant field) with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenseSenior Level: 8+ years of relevant engineering experienceStaff Level: 15+ years of progressive engineering experience in natural gas, energy, data centers, or related industriesPreferred: Master’s degree in electrical engineeringOther RequirementsStrong expertise in power generation, power distribution systems, and electrical designExperience integrating advanced power technologies, including automation, controls, and energy systemsAbility to analyze system performance and reliability, including arc flash, fault analysis, and system optimizationExperience with automation and control systems, including PLCs and HMI systemsStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently while leading technical efforts and influencing outcomesPreferred:Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenseProject management experienceExperience supporting Pre-FEED, FEED, or EPC projectsExperience with instrumentation and control system designExperience with power system modeling and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink)Knowledge of high-voltage systems, transformers, generators, switchgear, and grid integration#LI-AB1Why Tulsa?
