Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 09:00 - 21:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 5+ years in Emergency Department License: Active RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, Handle with Care, NIH, PALS or ENPC Must-Have Skills/Experience: 5 years or more of experience in Emergency Department Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in the Emergency Department. Applicants with experience in ICU and ED will be considered. The facility is an academic community hospital serving the region for over 120 years. It is recognized as a designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. The facility offers comprehensive surgical services, 24-hour Emergency Department services, home health and hospice, advanced wound healing, cardiac rehabilitation, two cath labs, one day surgery center, and medical and radiation oncology. Orientation is conducted bi-weekly on Tuesdays. All travelers must have required certifications prior to starting. Random drug screens will be completed on site. The facility serves patients of all ages. The emergency department has 31 beds and 2 triage rooms, with a patient ratio primarily of 1:4. Exceptions may occur during high-volume days or if a nurse has a discharge awaiting transportation. The electronic health record system primarily used is MedHost for the emergency department. The position requires a professional, positive, compassionate team player. Dress code allows for scrub colors of the traveler's choice. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork within a dynamic environment.
