The nurse utilizes scientific evidence and compassion to help patients navigate their health journey. They are responsible, authorized, and accountable for managing and providing care according to current policies and procedures. Responsibilities Deliver the most remarkable patient experience in every dimension, every time. Foster teamwork, engagement, and community involvement. Support diversity and inclusion to ensure quality care. Maintain a safe patient environment guided by "First Do No Harm" principles. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; graduate of an accredited nursing school. Minimum of one to two years nursing experience, preferably in oncology. Current RN licensure in the appropriate state. Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN, BMT) within 30 months of employment with signed education agreement. Additional skills include awareness of legal issues, excellent communication, clinical assessment skills, and knowledge of cancer treatments.
