Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - New Jersey Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) to provide high-quality mental health services through a remote/telehealth setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with individuals, couples, and families and have experience providing culturally responsive care to diverse populations, including Spanish-speaking clients. Employment: Part-Time (16-20 hrs./week) with potential to transition to Full-Time Location: New Jersey Part-Time Caseload: Approximately 20 sessions per week Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive client intakes, clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning. Provide individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy through telehealth. Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Systems Theory, Trauma-Informed approaches, DBT, and other clinically appropriate modalities. Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs, clinical assessments, and treatment goals. Provide crisis intervention and appropriate support for clients experiencing acute mental health or behavioral concerns. Maintain accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment records. Provide culturally sensitive and client-centered care while incorporating appropriate counseling principles based on client needs. Collaborate with other professionals and support continuity of care when appropriate. Required Qualifications Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. Current, valid LMFT/MFT license in New Jersey. Clinical experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families. Experience providing services through telehealth. Strong clinical assessment, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse client populations. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Spanish-speaking clients. Experience with trauma-focused therapy, DBT, Systems Theory, or similar evidence-based approaches. Prior experience in a behavioral health or mental health telehealth environment. Previous sales or business-development experience is a plus.
