Night shift, 36 hours per week (18:45 - 07:15). Every other weekend required.

Job Description

The ED Holding Support Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in the Emergency Department waiting for inpatient beds. This role involves managing medical/surgical adult diagnoses, including potential PCU level patients. Nurses are expected to handle MS/Tele cases and may float to the ED and MedSurg areas as needed. The position requires strong skills in telemetry and various medical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients in the ED holding unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Administer medications and perform clinical procedures as required.
• Float to various units as needed, including MedSurg and ED.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
• Interpret and manage telemetry data, including dysrhythmias.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Experience with telemetry and medical/surgical patients.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
