Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,378 a week in all, a taxable rate of $30.87 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.
Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit position supporting patients across the lifespan in an acute care setting. The role coordinates comprehensive nursing care, directs patient and family education, and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to maintain professional nursing standards. Clinical responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, dressing changes, ventilator and bilevel positive airway pressure care, and intravenous starts.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: ND state or compact nursing license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; completion of a basic cardiology class for nurses; minimum of 1 year of intensive care unit experience; knowledge of cardiac-related medications and rhythm analysis; prior experience caring for patients receiving bilevel positive airway pressure.
- Schedule: Rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Coordinates total nursing care using the nursing process and provides leadership through collaboration with ancillary nursing and patient care team personnel. Clinical duties include telemetry, dressing changes, ventilator and bilevel positive airway pressure care, intravenous starts, cardiac medication management, and rhythm analysis. Patient assignments may range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on census and patient needs. Department and facility orientation will be provided.
