Process Engineer II

Reporting to the Product Engineering Leader, the Process Engineer II will lead commissioning and start-up of a renovated production line and manage the technical transfer of the product line to a contract manufacturer (CM). Peak Nano is a growing organization focused on commercializing nanolayer film to disrupt the capacitor film market. This role will work closely with all functions to ensure high quality, efficient product processing to meet customer specifications.Have you got what it takes to succeed The following information should be read carefully by all candidates.Key Responsibilities:Lead commissioning and start-up of a renovated production line, including operational and performance qualification within an IQ/OQ/PQ frameworkDevelop and execute commissioning protocols, test plans, and acceptance criteria in collaboration with project engineers, equipment vendors, and internal stakeholdersTravel to the CM site to support equipment set-up, process trials, and line qualificationIdentify and resolve process deviations, yield issues, and equipment reliability problems during start-up and rampDevelop and standardize work instructions across product lines, improving consistency and repeatability as the processes matureResolve film quality concerns on customer programs; participate in root-cause analysis investigation and eliminate recurring quality concernsDrive new product scale-up from late-stage development through production trials, resolving process gaps and equipment constraints to hit first-pass yield, throughput and quality targetsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering along with 5+ years of experience OR 10+ years of progressive experience without a degree.3+ years in film or roll-to-roll conversion, with direct experience commissioning production lines or transferring processes to contract manufacturersAbility to work independently on processing equipmentWillingness to travel up to 50% during heavy workload periods to support contract manufacturing scale-upAbility to write clear, structured, technical documentation (work instructions, product routings, and product specifications)Experience working with external processing vendors/toll processingAbility to learn, apply, and expand technical knowledge around film, plastics and the capacitor industryPreferred QualificationsBi-axial Film StretchingExperience with NetSuite ERPExperience interfacing directly with external vendors, Sales, and/or CustomersLean/Six Sigma CertificationsNew product scale-up and commercialization experienceExperience working in a cross-functional team environmentAbout Peak NanoEstablished in 2016 to bring patented nanotechnology from the laboratory to commercial applications, Peak Nano is tackling challenges across the power grid, fusion, electric vehicles, aerospace, and defense.
