Machine Operator

Our client is looking for a machine operator to join their team in Janesville, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, starting, and fine-tuning extrusion, troubleshooting minor issues, and packaging finished products to ensure top-quality production output. Role Highlights Compensation: $19.00 - $26.00/hr. (based on experience) Benefits: Full benefits package available once converted to permanent hire. Shift/schedule: 3rd Shift Available (Must be open to overtime and weekend shifts as needed). What You'll Do Set up, run, and tweak the extrusion machines following the job specs so everything runs smoothly and efficiently Monitor machine operations, troubleshoot issues, and perform light maintenance and routine equipment cleaning. Perform quality control checks on finished goods, keep accurate production logs, and promptly report any defects or equipment issues to the supervisor. Tape, package, stack, and label finished products for shipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station while adhering to all plant safety and health regulations. Participate in physical inventory counts and perform other operational duties as assigned. What You'll Bring Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Experience: Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment or similar relevant field (Forklift experience preferred). Mathematical & Analytical Skills: Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and the ability to work with different units of measurement. Precision & Detail Orientation: Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow precise written and oral instructions. Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift heavy equipment/materials, bend, and stand or walk for long periods throughout the shift. Teamwork & Flexibility: Willingness to work collaborative shift schedules (2nd or 3rd shift) including late hours, weekends, and overtime when required. Knowledge of measuring instruments: Experience using measuring instruments such as tape measures and micrometers.
