The Assistant Project Manager (Project Engineer) supports the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil construction projects. Working directly with the Project Manager, this role helps ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget, while gaining hands-on experience in both office and field operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
• 2–5 years of construction or engineering experience (internships/co-ops acceptable)
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Project Manager (Project Engineer) supports the Project Manager in all aspects of project delivery, from planning through closeout. Core responsibilities include subcontractor coordination, daily reporting, and compliance with contract documents, while also assisting with scheduling, budgeting, and financial tracking. The role requires interpreting drawings, performing quantity take-offs, preparing RFIs and change orders, and supporting estimating and purchasing. Above all, the position ensures effective communication with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to help deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
