Repair Technician

This role is ideal for dependable, hands-on individuals who are comfortable working in a warehouse environment and eager to learn basic appliance repair and refurbishment processes. You will support a high-volume repair and refurbishment operation, ensuring appliances are cleaned, repaired, and prepared for shipment with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.

• Support the appliance repair and refurbishment operation by performing hands-on tasks throughout the repair process.
• Clean appliances before repairs begin and after repairs are completed to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Wrap and prepare appliances for shipment using appropriate protective materials to prevent damage in transit.
• Move appliances throughout the warehouse using a dolly and transport them to the appropriate departments for repair.
• Assist with basic repairs and component or parts replacements, utilizing paid training to learn and apply repair techniques.
• Remove products from shipping cartons and prepare them for inspection and repair.
• Perform final cleaning and preparation of products to ensure they are ready for shipment to customers.
• Carry out inspection tasks to verify that appliances meet operational and cleanliness standards before shipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and follow established processes in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

• Ability to perform consumer electronics and appliance repair tasks with guidance and training.
• Basic appliance troubleshooting skills, including identifying issues and assisting with diagnostic testing and fault isolation.
• Capability to support component and parts replacement and repair activities.
• High attention to detail when inspecting, cleaning, and preparing appliances for shipment.
• Strong technical communication skills to understand repair instructions and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time during the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Comfort working in a warehouse environment, including non-climate-controlled areas.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent education.

• Experience with consumer electronics repair or appliance repair is beneficial.
• Familiarity with diagnostic testing and fault isolation processes is an advantage.
• Experience with inspection and quality checks in a warehouse or repair setting is helpful.
• Ability to educate and communicate with others about basic technical or repair-related topics.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and willingness to learn through paid training.

You will work Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in a large, approximately 800,000-square-foot distribution facility. The workspace is clean and generally temperature controlled, though some areas may be non-climate-controlled. The environment is fast-paced and team-focused, with frequent movement of appliances throughout the warehouse using equipment such as dollies. Dress comfortably for an active warehouse setting where you will stand, sit, lift, and move products as part of your daily responsibilities.

This is a Contract position based out of Richfield, OH.

The pay range for this position is $18.60 - $18.60/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
