Job Details Compensation: Towne Park is committed to offering competitive, fair, and commensurate compensation. The hourly base pay range for this position is $16-$18 per hour plus $5-$10 per hour in tips. Work Schedule: Overnight 11p-7a. Summary The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. The associate handles parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assists guests with luggage (including delivery and pickup during arrival and departure), and performs related duties. Maintains pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients; greets guests within five feet with a professional and friendly demeanor (25%). Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests; practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette; posts up in designated areas when not completing tasks (10%). Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests (20%). Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, and amenities of the facility as well as main attractions in the area; delivers messages, items, and guest amenities; shuttles guests to approved locations (10%). Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys; collects claim checks from all guests prior to issuing keys; maintains ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt; calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed (35%). Performs all functions within the total amount of time of the job – 100%. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Licensure, Certification: Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state you are applying to work, or be within a commutable distance from the state (as applicable). Work Experience: One (1) month related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge: Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. Skills: Ability to read and write standard English language. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests, clients and other employees. Basic math skills: add and subtract three-digit numbers and multiply/divide with tens and hundreds; perform operations using units of American money. Ability to understand 24‑hour and military time systems. Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed. Ability to operate a manual transmission (highly desirable). Perform parallel parking. Authority To Act Job is fairly routine. Incumbent follows established practices and procedures. Duties are performed with specific directions given and work is checked or verified on a frequent basis. Decisions are made within specific operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could affect the smooth and efficient operation of the department. Budget Responsibility The employee has control over resources available only. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; frequently must sit or stand for extended periods; may be required to run, walk, handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Lifting Requirements: Exert up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects. Working Environment The majority of work will be performed outdoors for extended periods, including the entire shift. Employees are subject to environmental conditions including extreme heat and cold weather. Protection from weather conditions may be provided, but not necessarily from temperature changes.
