Required skills:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution and active California medical license
• Board certified or board eligible in ob/gyn
• Proven experience as an ob hospitalist or in obstetric inpatient care
• Excellent clinical judgment and strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of current obstetrics protocols and hospital policies

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with high-risk pregnancies or advanced fetal monitoring
• Advanced certifications such as neonatal resuscitation program (nrp)
• Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (emr) systems

Preferred education and experience:

• Md or do degree from an accredited medical school
• Minimum of 3 years of obstetric hospitalist experience
• Current cpr, nrp, and other relevant certifications
• Valid california medical license or eligibility to obtain one

Other requirements:

• Must hold or be eligible for a california medical license
• Willingness to work on a locum basis with flexible scheduling options
• Compliance with all hospital credentialing and privileging requirements
• Ability to travel to bakersfield, ca, as needed
