About the Role:

Bayon Medical Group LLC is looking for a detail-oriented and compassionate Referral Specialist to join our healthcare team in Lynn, MA. In this vital role, you'll serve as a key connector between patients, providers, and specialist networks — ensuring seamless care coordination every step of the way. Responsibilities:

• Process and manage patient referrals to specialists, ensuring timely and accurate coordination of care
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations for referrals and specialist visits
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and external providers to facilitate smooth referral workflows
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
• Follow up on pending referrals and track outcomes to ensure continuity of patient care
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding referral status in a professional and empathetic manner
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve referral-related issues promptly

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in a medical office, referral coordination, or healthcare administrative role
• Familiarity with insurance verification, prior authorization, and managed care processes
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems 
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Bilingual (English/Khmer) is a a plus in serving our diverse patient population but not mandatory
