For more information about Draper, visit Job Description Summary A Quality Auditor ensures that products meet the highest quality standards. Responsible for investigating and resolving issues while reviewing Statements of Work, Request for Proposals, design plans, process procedures, test procedures, and manuals to understand the scope, requirements, and function of products. Responsibilities Provide technical assistance and support to customers, suppliers, and employees in resolving issues. Assist in the improvement of manufacturing, process, and product efficiency to reduce non‑conforming products. Ensure products meet the organization’s and customers’ quality and product integrity requirements. Support product development or operations teams by providing analysis and expertise throughout the inspection process. Participate in cross‑function teams to determine root causes of failures, identify when failure analysis is necessary, and provide recommendations for corrective measures. Analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects with the goal of mitigating and preventing recurrence and future defects. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Abilities Ability to work on cross‑functional teams. Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles. Familiarity with Quality Standards ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100. Expert knowledge and skills in process integration. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time‑management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to prioritize tasks. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Good interpersonal skills to communicate clearly. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Education Requires a bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline. Experience Requires 3‑5 years of experience in quality engineering or another engineering role. Additional Responsibilities Develop and evaluate quality processes and system standards to ensure compliance with company standards and government regulatory requirements. Support audit activities across Draper’s facilities; requires up to 20% travel within the United States. Evaluate quality process and system standards to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry requirements. Generate audit reports on internal and external audits, system, product, and process conformity, pre‑audits, and special audits. Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring quality system process discrepancies. Interface with programs, engineering, customer, and supply‑chain representatives to ensure quality system process requirements are met. Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications. Analyze audit data, generate corporate metrics, identify areas of risk, and mitigate solutions while developing and delivering audit planning and results consistently and accurately to all levels of the organization. Facilitate DCMA and third‑party registrar audits, develop, distribute, monitor, and validate internal and external corrective action requests (CARs). Prefer experience working in the microelectronics or defense industry. Certified trained auditor in ISO 9001:2015 or AS 9100D, preferably AS 9100D. Minimum three years’ experience auditing at the ISO 9001 and/or AS 9100 level, preferably AS 9100. Security Requirement Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Location and Compensation Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts 02139‑3563. Annual base salary range: $75,000.00 – $156,000.00.
