Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service TechnicianWe are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician to join our growing service team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and servicing a wide variety of commercial and industrial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, a solid understanding of refrigeration and electrical systems, and the ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.Experience with the following equipment and systems is preferred:Commercial rooftop units (RTUs)Air handling units (AHUs)Makeup air units (MAUs) and energy recovery units (ERUs/ERVs)Split systems and commercial heat pumpsMulti-zone VRF/VRV systemsAir-cooled and centrifugal chillersCommercial boilers and hydronic heating systemsChilled-water systems, pumps, motors, and VFDsLow-temperature refrigerationCommercial HVAC electrical and control systemsExperience with every system listed above is not required. However, candidates should possess strong commercial HVAC fundamentals and demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot equipment accurately and efficiently.Primary responsibilities include:Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipmentPerform planned maintenance and equipment inspectionsTroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and hydronic system failuresRead and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and equipment documentationVerify proper equipment operation following repairsPerform equipment startups and commissioning as requiredDocument service findings, recommendations, and repairs clearly and accuratelyCommunicate professionally with customers, facility personnel, and internal team membersMaintain company-provided tools, equipment, and service vehicleFollow company safety procedures and customer site requirementsAssist and support fellow technicians when neededParticipate in training and continuing technical developmentCandidates must possess:Commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration service experienceEPA Section 608 certificationValid driver's license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to successfully complete required background screeningAbility to meet access requirements for government, institutional, and secured facilitiesStrong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skillsStrong understanding of refrigeration principles and system operationAbility to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematicsAbility to properly use meters, gauges, vacuum pumps, recovery equipment, and other HVAC diagnostic toolsAbility to work independently and manage service calls efficientlyStrong communication and customer-service skillsAbility to accurately document service work and findingsAdditional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in chiller service, boiler and hydronic systems, low-temperature refrigeration, VRF/VRV systems, VFDs, building automation and HVAC controls, and servicing large commercial, institutional, or government facilities.We understand that no technician knows every piece of equipment or every system.
