Accounts Payable Assistant

We are looking for an accounts payable assistant who can work in a fast paced and challenging environment. This is a permanent position. Part-time or full-time. Hours are flexible, to be set between 8am 5pm Monday through Friday plus one Saturday per month 8am-12pm.

Knowledge of computers necessary. Must be able to multi-task. General knowledge about construction would be helpful but not essential pre-employment. (If hired, this person would be required to learn basic information about construction materials.)

The job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Making phone calls to vendors and employees to verify invoices
• Accurately inputting invoice data into Quickbooks software
• Answering the phone as needed to help answer customer and vendor questions
• Assisting walk-in customers who have not been attended to
• Match receipts and invoices
• Enter bills
• Mail checks
• File any paid invoices
• Print bill payment reports
• Check subcontractors for certificates of insurance
• Assist with annual insurance audits
• Pack up year end payable files and help with file storage organization

Requirements

• Valid drivers license at least 2 years
• Familiarity with Microsoft Windows based computers
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Excellent communication skills and a great attitude required. This person must be a team player and willing to help out wherever needed, in addition to their regular duties.

Experience:

• Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks: 1 year+ (Preferred)

License/Certification:
