Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Anchorage, AK 99508

Start Date: July 13, 2026

Location: Anchorage, Alaska

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM). Every other weekend required. Guaranteed 60 hours per two-week period with potential for one call-off per pay period. 13-week assignment.

Highlights:

• High-volume, high-risk Labor and Delivery unit averaging 7 deliveries daily, with up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum cases
• Comprehensive unit with 10 OB triage rooms, 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms serving Alaska's premier hospital
• Work in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma Center recognized as the best hospital in Alaska
• Charge experience preferred or training provided for qualified candidates interested in leadership development
• Extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Epic charting system with 36-40 hours of paid orientation

Requirements:

• Active Alaska RN license required prior to offer acceptance (pending licenses accepted for submission with 10-12 week processing time)
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
• Minimum 1-2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
• Two professional references covering one year within the last three years
• Willingness to work two of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
• Availability to float to similar units within the hospital system as needed
