Profession: Physician Specialty: Pediatrics Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Milton, FL Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Period: Nov 21 - Dec 31, 2026 Coverage Type: Call only Call Schedule: 24-hr call; 7a-7a Call Type: Beeper Call Response Time: 30 mins Call Ratio: 1:1 Call Back: <10% or minimal Reason for Coverage: Maternity/Paternity Leave Orientation: required the day prior to first shift for approx. 3 hrs Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered by Agency/Vendor COVERAGE DATES Nov 21, 2026 - Nov 30, 2026 Dec 21, 2026 - Dec 31, 2026 PATIENT INFO Patient Demographics: Newborns & Pediatrics Patient Volume: 6-7 Admissions Required Rounding Included: rounding on newborns each day; 2 hrs per shift Phone Consults: 1-2 Case Mix: IP Pediatrics, Newborn Nursery FACILITY INFO EMR: Cerner Support Staff: 2 RNs PEDS Facility Level: I PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: No Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Credentialing Timeline: Temp privileges available, can start quickly REQUIRED PROCEDURES Preferred: Suturing minor lacerations Required: Circumcision (type) JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: Certified Licenses: Active FL Certifications: PALS Experience: Experience in IP pediatric rounding preferred Duties & Responsibilities Provide 24-hour in-house call coverage for pediatric services. Perform daily inpatient rounding on newborns. Manage pediatric patient consults and phone calls. Cover specified holiday periods as needed. Utilize Cerner EMR for patient documentation.
