Paint Systems Department Supervisor - Day Shift

Toyoda Gosei, Texas is looking for an energetic, results-oriented professional to be our next Paint Supervisor on our day shift. As the Paint Systems Department Supervisor, you will lead and inspire your team to consistently meet and exceed daily production goals while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will ensure that all team members are fully engaged in their assigned work cells throughout the shift and that production runs smoothly to support customer demand. Your leadership will be key in driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities include championing safety, monitoring production quality, enforcing company policies, proactively identifying risks, leading Kaizen activities, maintaining production visual management boards, tracking productivity metrics, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and taking ownership of special projects.

Qualifications include minimum of five years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, strong understanding of manufacturing processes, excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, solid knowledge of the Toyota Production System, proven leadership skills, and ability to analyze data.

Physical demands include ability to lift up to 30 pounds, standing and moving on the manufacturing floor for extended periods, willingness to work day or night shifts, and flexibility to work overtime when necessary.

Working conditions include being present on the manufacturing floor 90% of the time, complying with all safety requirements, working in noisy environments, and comfortable working with chemicals and machinery used in paint application and drying processes.

Direct reports and responsibilities include leading assigned team members, managing Kanban production schedules, completing and reviewing Injection Daily Audit check sheets, monitoring team members' working hours and attendance, entering and maintaining accurate production and quality data, responding to non-conformance issues, and ensuring team members comply with production standards and continuous improvement goals.
