Nurse Practitioner

Desert Cardiology & Vascular Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our established cardiovascular practice in Henderson, Nevada. For more than 25 years, our practice has served the Las Vegas and Henderson communities with a commitment to high-quality cardiovascular care, clinical excellence, and personalized attention. Our team provides comprehensive cardiac and vascular services supported by advanced diagnostic technology and an experienced clinical staff. The Position The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with our cardiologists and clinical team to evaluate, manage, and educate patients with a broad range of cardiovascular conditions. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, highly organized, and comfortable managing medically complex patients in a fast-paced outpatient environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history reviews and physical examinations Provide follow-up care for established cardiology patients Evaluate and manage common cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hyperlipidemia, and peripheral vascular disease Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising or treating physician Order and interpret laboratory studies, cardiac testing, and other diagnostic evaluations within the provider’s scope of practice Review test results and communicate findings and treatment recommendations to patients Perform medication reconciliation and manage cardiovascular medications Provide pre-procedure and post-procedure follow-up care Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, and cardiovascular risk reduction Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation in the electronic medical record Coordinate care with physicians, hospitals, referring providers, pharmacies, and other members of the healthcare team Respond to patient questions and clinical messages in a timely manner Participate in quality improvement and practice initiatives Follow all clinical protocols, regulatory requirements, and patient privacy standards Qualifications Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program Current or eligible Nevada APRN and registered nursing licenses Current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner Current BLS certification ACLS certification preferred Current or eligible DEA registration and Nevada prescribing authority Cardiology, cardiovascular, internal medicine, critical care, or other relevant clinical experience strongly preferred Strong assessment, diagnostic, and clinical decision-making skills Ability to work collaboratively while independently managing an assigned patient schedule Excellent documentation, communication, and patient education skills Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care Preferred Background We welcome candidates with prior experience in: Outpatient cardiology Cardiovascular or cardiothoracic intensive care Internal medicine Heart failure management Interventional cardiology follow-up Vascular medicine Cardiac diagnostic testing #J-18808-Ljbffr Premier Medical Consultants, LLC
