- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, wear required PPE, exercise stop-work authority when conditions are unsafe, and immediately report all incidents, accidents, or safety concerns to a supervisor
- Prepare vessels and other Smith Industries products for painting and touch-up
- Perform surface preparation including sanding, cleaning, inspecting, masking, and taping
- Prepare products for painting by blowing down with air, wiping with thinner, and cleaning surfaces as required
- Perform touch-up painting to correct imperfections and ensure product quality
- Safely use small hand tools and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Prior experience in industrial painting or paint preparation preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and surface preparation techniques
- Commitment to safe work practices and hazard recognition (JSA experience a plus)
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
