Senior Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Carlsbad, CA.Responsibilities:

• Senior Staff Accountant will manage accounts receivable, including billing, reconciliations, and reporting
• Track and account for fixed assets, including capitalization and CIP activity
• Review and administer employee expense activity using internal systems
• Prepare journal entries related to accruals, payroll impacts, and recurring transactions
• Maintain lease schedules and perform related reconciliations
• Support monthly and quarterly close processes
• As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will perform balance sheet reconciliations and assist with financial reporting
• Prepare audit support and collaborate with external auditors
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen controls
• Partner with teams across finance, operations, and HR

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus
• 3-10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience working in environments with broad, hands-on responsibilities
• Exposure to manufacturing, product-based, software, or regulated industries
• Experience with financial statements and audit support
• Understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
• Experience with ERP systems and expense management tools
• Manufacturing or public company experience preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
