Middleware Technical Lead – IBM ACE

Location: Dallas, TX ~ Torrance, CA ~ Woonsocket, RI/Hybrid

Experience needed: 10+ years

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical teams and mentor team members as required.
• Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, Solution Architects, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA.
• Independently handle projects with minimal support or supervision.

Technical Skills:

Strong background in API development and middleware integration.

Hands-on experience with:

• IIB / ACE
• Spring Boot microservices
• Experience in API design, including:
• Integration frameworks
• Swagger modeling
• Design tools such as IBM RSA, UML tools, Swagger Designer, or similar

In-depth knowledge of:

• API security (OAuth, OIDC, SSO, JWT)
• Scaling, resiliency, performance tuning, and availability
• Non-functional requirements (NFRs)

Solid understanding of:

• REST frameworks
• API-first development approach

Non-Technical Skills:

• Critical thinker with a passion for challenging the status quo.
• Self-starter with the ability to take initiative.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Excellent collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
• Ability to independently manage multiple tasks and deliverables.
