Desktop Technician

Description We are seeking a Desktop Technician to support and maintain the end‑user computing environment across the organization. This hands‑on role combines technical support, endpoint administration, hardware deployment, and workplace technology support to ensure employees have the tools they need to be successful. What You’ll Do Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, monitors, printers, peripherals, and software applications. Build, configure, deploy, and maintain end‑user computer systems and workplace technology. Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues across Windows and macOS environments. Support endpoint management platforms and assist with device provisioning, software deployment, patching, and lifecycle management. Assist with onboarding activities, including workstation setup, account coordination, and new hire technology orientation. Maintain and improve standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and troubleshooting guides. Support endpoint security initiatives, software updates, and system configuration standards. Respond to employee requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems while delivering excellent customer service. Participate in projects and initiatives related to endpoint deployments, lifecycle management, and workplace technology improvements. Perform other duties as assigned. Works well independently and as part of a team. Requirements Required Skills and Experience 3+ years of experience supporting end‑user hardware, software, and workplace technology environments. Experience supporting Windows and macOS operating systems. Experience with endpoint management or device administration tools such as Intune, Jamf, NinjaOne, or similar platforms. Working knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, and VPN connectivity. Understanding of endpoint security concepts and best practices. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting Microsoft 365 environments. Experience working in a manufacturing, engineering, robotics, or technology‑focused environment. Experience with device imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management. CompTIA A+, Security+, Microsoft, Apple, or similar certifications. Why Join Palladyne AI?
