Empower Yourself.The Director Participant Engagement leads a field team of retirement advisers and/or counselors focused on supporting employees of Empower’s clients prepare for a successful retirement by helping them to replace the income they earned while working. This is done through developing and executing upon goals that align to a growth and marketing strategy that maximizes plan participation, assets and the use of Empower Advisory Services and products in an assigned geographic area. Extensive relationship building and navigation of prospective accounts is a key aspect of the role.What you will doLead and manage a regional team with the purpose of executing on a regional growth strategy and business plan that identifies new business opportunities for maximizing defined contribution plan (457(b), 403(b), 401(k)) participation, assets and savings rates as well as improve the participant’s overall diversification and wealth accumulation and distribution strategyMaximize the adoption and use of Empower products and services, including Managed Accounts through Empower Advisory ServicesCreate an environment of safety, autonomy, high-accountability, support, coaching and feedback that fosters an environment of employee high performance, engagement, learning and career development Ensure the team is adhering to a consistent service model by using Empower technological resources and counseling processes while adhering to corporate policies and proceduresAs the Supervising Principal, ensure that all regulatory and fiduciary rules and standards are adhered to by tracking and monitoring the associated recordsFacilitate training sessions to enhance service activities, compliance requirements and corporate/industry policies and proceduresBuild strong partnerships with key regional personnel, plan sponsor representatives and internal and external stakeholders to maximize the distribution and use of Empower products and services and carry out strategic initiativesAnalyze and control all expenditures to conform to budgetary requirementsParticipate in the delivery of sales presentation along with Regional Sales Directors and key members of senior managementDuties inherent in a supervisory positionWhat you will bringBachelor’s degree in Business or related field preferred7 - 10 years experience in Financial Services industry Understanding of management, training, coaching & leadership principlesGeneral understanding of technology software with the ability to utilize MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and learn new systemsDemonstrated ability to influence and persuade others, driving behavioral change and personal development while identifying and executing strategies that support organizational initiatives and exceed corporate goalsFINRA 6, 63, 26 & 65 registrations required within established timelines; at least two registrations required for considerationFINRA fingerprinting requiredWhat will set you apartPrevious management experience preferredKnowledge of the financial services & defined contribution industries as well as the associated products & services are preferredFinancial services designations preferred (e.g. CFP, ChFC, CRC, CRPC) or the ability to obtain one within the first year of employmentDemonstrated success in achieving or exceeding performance goals in prior roles***Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time, including CPT/OPT.***What we offer youWe offer an array of diverse and inclusive benefits regardless of where you are in your career. BRGs are open to all.Base Salary Range$105,700.00 - $149,275.00The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
