Mainframe Modernization Consultant

Summary Support modernization initiatives by analyzing mainframe systems and implementing migration strategies. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct application assessments and identify modernization opportunities.
Execute code conversion and integration with modern platforms.
Collaborate with architects and delivery teams for smooth transition.
Prepare technical documentation, estimate, and assist in testing phases.
Mentor consultants and oversee technical execution.

Required Skills:

Expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, Assembler.
Knowledge of modernization frameworks and tools (Micro Focus, BluAge, Heirloom) including AI/GenAI based tooling/use case.
Exposure to APIs, microservices, and cloud integration (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Should have executed at least one (1) mainframe modernization assessment and one (1) mainframe modernization program.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
