WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Commercial Sales Consultant you'll serve a wide range of customers: small businesses and contractors, fleet accounts, repeat commercial buyers, and business owners buying for personal use. As a Commercial Sales Consultant you will assist us by responding to incoming internet leads and help grow our commercial customer base. Your quick follow-up will help to grow our book of business and strengthen existing relationships.

This is a strong fit for a B2B sales professional who wants to move into the automotive industry. Automotive experience is welcome but not required.

WHAT ARE THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Respond quickly to internet leads by phone, email, and text, and keep every lead moving through the pipeline
• Qualify commercial leads by learning each customer's business, vehicle needs, and budget
• Recommend the right vehicles, upfits, and financing options for each customer
• Keep accurate, up-to-date records of every lead and customer interaction in the CRM
• Follow up consistently with prospects, past customers, and repeat buyers
• Work qualified opportunities and larger accounts alongside the Commercial Manager when appropriate, with clear notes
• Build lasting relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals
• Participate in team meetings, share information openly, and welcome coaching and feedback
• Represent Perkins Motors professionally and honestly in every customer interaction

WHAT QUALIFIES YOU:

• Fast, disciplined follow-up. You are organized, responsive, and comfortable with a CRM, and no lead goes cold on your watch.
• Self-motivated and resilient. You are driven by a commission-based pay plan, maintain strong positivity, and consistent productivity.
• Coachable and quick to learn. You ask good questions, accept feedback well, and pick up new product knowledge quickly.
• Consultative and relationship-focused. You listen first, take time to understand a customer's business, and earn trust rather than pressure a sale.
• Collaborative communicator. You thrive on a team, share information openly, and work well with a manager who values input from everyone.
• Experience in B2B, outside, or consultative sales preferred
• Automotive or fleet sales experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfort with CRM software and managing a high volume of leads.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Compensation: $85,000- $125,000 Annually. Based off experience, qualifications, and education.
