Facilities TechnicianLocation: Bethel, CTPayrate: $19 / hour Full-TimeSUN-WEDS 7:30 am - 5 pmOn-site ***Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to address after-hours emergencies.*** Ability Beyond is seeking a Facilities Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our residential and program facilities. This role is hands-on and essential to ensuring our environments are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The Facilities Technician will perform routine maintenance, respond to urgent repairs, and support preventative maintenance efforts across agency properties.Key Responsibilities:Perform general facility maintenance including painting, drywall repair, and minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry workComplete preventative maintenance and respond to corrective work orders using CMMS (Salesforce)Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues across buildings, equipment, and groundsSupport HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repairs and upkeepParticipate in a rotating on-call schedule to address after-hours emergenciesCoordinate with external vendors and provide updates on work progressConduct routine inspections and identify opportunities for facility improvementsMaintain tools, equipment, and agency vehicles in clean and working conditionAssist with furniture assembly, locksmith tasks, and other facility-related projectsQualifications:High school diploma or equivalent requiredValid driver's license required2+ years of facilities, maintenance, or related experienceExperience across multiple trades (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry) preferredTrade school certification or OSHA/NFPA certifications are a plusStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independentlyAbility to respond to urgent situations, including after-hours calls as neededBenefits:Generous benefits package (medical, dental, vision, pet insurance)Paid time off (increases over years of service)Self-directed retirement plan options (403B)PSLF loan forgiveness eligibilityAccess to an Employee Assistance Program including mental health resourcesOngoing diversity, equity, inclusion, & belonging initiatives
