Our client, a global investment firm, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Miami, FL! Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and SQL .
- Build robust, user-friendly tools that enhance project management, workflow tracking, and resource planning across teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including investment professionals, operations, and technology teams to gather requirements and implement scalable solutions.
- Ensure application performance, data accuracy, and reliability through code reviews, testing, and performance tuning.
- Maintain and improve existing software systems, identifying and resolving issues proactively.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to long-term technical planning.
- Document technical designs, workflows, and support procedures for cross-functional use.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and SQL (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server).
- Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), including version control, testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Proven ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience working in an investment firm or the financial services industry .
- Background in designing or implementing project management , workflow , or task tracking applications .
- Familiarity with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) and RESTful API development is a plus.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
