This position reports to:

Continuous Improvement Specialist

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory) In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the deployment of the continuous improvement strategy for a local organizational unit, including promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Each day, you will mentor and coach teams to achieve operational excellence and drive improved results. You will also showcase your expertise by deploying and leading projects to improve and sustain local business performance.

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC

This role is contributing to the ELDS Business in our Mebane facility. Main stakeholders are Operations, Quality, Warehouse and local Leadership. You will be mainly accountable for:

• Leading and executing hands-on continuous improvement projects that deliver measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory, and cost.
• Spending time on the shop floor to observe processes, identify waste and improvement opportunities, engage with employees, and understand problems at the source.
• Applying Lean Manufacturing and structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes, improve processes, reduce waste, and sustain results.
• Facilitating cross-functional workshops and improvement activities, coaching teams and building capability in continuous improvement tools and practices.
• Using data and performance metrics together with direct process observation to prioritize opportunities, track project progress, and validate business impact and savings.
• Supporting the standardization and sustainment of improvements through standard work, visual management, training, and continuous follow-up.

Qualifications for the role

• Minimum 2 years in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, operations, engineering, or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• You have established skills in Lean methodologies, structured problem solving, root cause analysis, process improvement, and waste reduction.
• Proven experience leading improvement projects and facilitating cross-functional teams, with the ability to translate opportunities into measurable results.
• You are comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment, observing processes on the shop floor, engaging with frontline teams, and turning observations into improvement opportunities.
• You are passionate about problem solving, coaching, collaboration, and driving change, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; Lean Six Sigma certification and experience with Excel, Power BI, or other data analysis tools are preferred.
