Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join a busy cardiology team. This position is responsible for performing high-quality vascular ultrasound examinations, including venous and arterial studies, while providing exceptional patient care. Depending on the clinic assignment, the technologist may also assist with therapeutic procedures performed in a vein clinic setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound examinations, including venous and arterial studies.

• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images to assist physicians in evaluating vascular conditions.

• Assist with therapeutic vein clinic procedures as assigned.

• Review patient history and explain examination procedures to patients.

• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout all imaging procedures.

• Accurately document findings and maintain complete patient records within the electronic medical record.

• Collaborate with physicians and the cardiology team to support timely diagnosis and treatment.

• Ensure imaging equipment is properly maintained and functioning correctly.

• Follow all infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance standards.

• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) credential required.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience performing vascular ultrasound examinations.

• At least 1 year of cumulative venous sonography experience required.

• Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic imaging techniques.

• Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Epic electronic medical records (EMR).

• Experience with Philips EPIQ Elite ultrasound systems.

• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday

• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• No weekends or holidays

Additional Information

• Solid-colored scrubs required.

• Limited travel may be required based on operational needs.

• Work is primarily performed at a single clinic location in Houston, TX .

• Interviews will be conducted in person and include a scanning competency assessment.

Pay Details: $55.92 per hour
