Medical Assistant Opportunity

Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client's medical facility in Arlington, TX 76017. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Details:

• Location: Arlington, TX 76017
• Job Type: 3+ months (Possibility of extension or conversion)
• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8AM - 5PM
• Pay Range: $21/hr - $23/hr on W2

Specific Duties:

• Performed patient intake, prepared patients for examinations, and assisted providers during clinical visits.
• Operated diagnostic equipment, performed EKGs, and completed blood draws using venipuncture and capillary collection.
• Administered non-IV medications, collected specimens and cultures, and performed basic wound care, including dressing changes and staple removal.
• Maintained accurate and timely patient documentation while coordinating care according to physician orders and clinic protocols.
• Prepared, sterilized, and maintained medical instruments using an autoclave while performing routine equipment quality control checks.
• Organized, cleaned, and restocked exam and treatment rooms to ensure a safe and efficient clinical environment.
• Followed infection control standards, maintained patient confidentiality, and provided compassionate patient care.
• Conducted patient intake and screening by gathering information in person and over the phone within Medical Assistant scope of practice.
• Complied with Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO) and performed additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Medical Assistant certification
• Current BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Basic computer literacy required, with intermediate Excel skills
• This position requires Tuberculosis screening as well as proof of immunity to Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis through lab confirmation of immunity, documented evidence of vaccination, or a doctor's diagnosis of disease

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding
