About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Actuarial Officer (CAO) to lead its enterprise actuarial, analytics, and portfolio intelligence agenda. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that pricing, reserving, capital, reinsurance, planning, and growth decisions consistently enhance risk-adjusted returns. This role requires the ability to translate complex risk into clear choices, build trusted decision systems, and develop the next generation of actuarial and analytical leadership. The CAO will also be a strategic partner to the executive team, connecting actuarial insight to operating strategy, and will own the actuarial narrative for various corporate reviews. Applicants must be a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant quantitative field. Significant experience in property and casualty actuarial work, including leadership in pricing and reserving, is essential. The role demands a leader with a proven track record in team management, talent development, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in enterprise decision-support, modern actuarial processes, and experience with commercial insurance portfolios. Proficiency in data and analytical tools, as well as a deep understanding of actuarial standards, insurance regulation, and model governance, is required. The CAO will be expected to modernize workflows, implement AI-enabled decision systems, and ensure the responsible use of technology in actuarial practices.
