Travel RN – Surgical Acute Care | Nights | Hilo, Hawaii

Experienced Surgical/Med Surg RNs are needed for a 13-week night-shift travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii.

Assignment Details:
Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
Contract: 13 weeks
No on-call requirement
Weekend and holiday coverage required
EMR: Epic
Must arrive the Thursday before start for employee health clearance on Friday

Requirements:
Active Hawaii RN license required
Minimum 3 years of RN experience
Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong surgical pre- and post-operative nursing experience

Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care for adult surgical patients, including abdominal surgeries, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, drains, and post-operative recovery.
Complete patient assessments, administer medications, manage IV and PCA pumps, and monitor patient condition.
Coordinate pre- and post-operative care, patient education, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary communication.
Document accurately in Epic and use Pyxis, vital-sign machines, and bedside equipment safely.
Float to other units as needed and maintain safe, compassionate patient care.
