Competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000 Early finish every Friday 28 days holiday including bank holidays Overtime opportunities available Ongoing training and career development Opportunity to support and contribute towards ISO9001 accreditation Stable position within a growing engineering manufacturer Friendly and supportive working environment Working Hours Monday – Friday - 39 hours per week The Opportunity As a Quality Control Inspector, you'll be responsible for ensuring that every component leaving the facility meets both customer expectations and the company's exacting quality standards. You'll play a crucial role in supporting the business's quality objectives, including its ongoing commitment to achieving and maintaining ISO9001 standards. Your work will directly impact product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Performing first-off, in-process and final inspections of machined components Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T Using precision measuring equipment including: Bore gauges CMM equipment where applicable Completing inspection reports and quality documentation Identifying and reporting non-conforming products Supporting root cause investigations and corrective actions Working closely with production and engineering teams to improve quality standards Assisting with internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives Maintaining calibration records and ensuring inspection equipment remains compliant Promoting a quality-first culture throughout the business What We're Looking For Previous experience within a Quality Control, Quality Assurance or Inspection role Background within manufacturing, precision engineering or CNC machining environments Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances Knowledge of GD&T principles Experience using a range of precision measuring equipment Excellent attention to detail Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Highly Desirable Experience operating or programming CMM equipment Knowledge of ISO9001 standards and quality management systems Experience with FAIRs, NCRs and CAPA processes Background in aerospace, automotive, bearings, power transmission or precision manufacturing Understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Why This Role Stands Out This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced inspector who wants more than simply signing off parts.
