Through our core values of embracing change, taking ownership, attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and a results oriented collaborative environment, we are a dynamic team that is transforming and revolutionizing correctional healthcare.ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision of a Dentist, provide a range of clinical, administrative, and staff services in assisting the professional dental staffAssist the Dentist in providing dental and radiography proceduresProvide chairside assistance to dentists in the performance of dental procedures to include preventive and prosthetic proceduresPrepare, sterilize, organize, and set up dental equipmentEnsure all dental instruments are cleaned, dated, and processed according to established clinic guidelines and OSHA standards; and maintains the overall cleanliness of the dental areaMonitor, and maintain dental equipment such as radiographic developing equipment, and sterilizers in accordance with manufacturer's guidelinesDevelop and process dental radiographs in accordance with provider ordersAssist in monitoring and maintenance of radiation safety procedures and protocolsOrder and maintain inventories of dental clinic suppliesInteract with and process dental clinic patients; schedule appointments, maintain dental charts, record dental findings using the POMR charting formatQualificationsGraduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program with current state license/certification to practiceCurrent CPR certificateAt least one (1) year experience as a Dental AssistantProficient with electronic medical recordsAbility to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screenIf you want to join an exciting, dynamic and growing organization that is making a positive impact on the lives we serve, we look forward to considering you for this opportunity and to be part of our team!Armor Health is committed to providing equal employment opportunity for all qualified employees and applicants.
