Training Coordinator - Chatsworth, CA

Job Overview

Hubbell is seeking to add a Training Coordinator to our Chatsworth, CA facility. The Training Coordinator will help support manufacturing operations by developing, coordinating, administering, and continuously improving employee training programs across all departments. They will be responsible for ensuring employees receive the knowledge, skills, and certifications necessary to perform their jobs safely and effectively while maintaining compliance with company policies, OSHA requirements, and business unit standards. The Training Coordinator will partner with Operations, Human Resources, EHS, Quality, and site leadership to identify training needs, maintain training records, and drive workforce development initiatives. Pay range for this position will range from $60,000 to $70,000 annually.

• Develop, implement, and coordinate training programs focused on safety, quality, machine operation, productivity, compliance, and employee development.
• Support the Quality Management System by assisting in the maintenance of controlled documents
• Plan, schedule, and facilitate training activities while minimizing disruption to manufacturing operations.
• Create and maintain training schedules for all departments and monitor training completion status.
• Track new hire onboarding, orientation, and required training to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate training records, certifications, qualification matrices, and employee development documentation.
• Partner with supervisors, managers, and department leaders to identify training needs and skill gaps
• Analyze production, quality, and performance data to determine areas requiring additional training or development.
• Develop and update training materials, work instructions, presentations, and learning resources.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create standardized training processes and materials.
• Coordinate and monitor on-the-job training, mentoring programs, cross-training initiatives, and professional development opportunities.
• Partner with EHS to ensure all required safety training is completed and documented to maintain compliance objectives.
• Ensure OSHA, environmental, compliance, and regulatory training requirements are met and maintained.
• Manage Hubbell University training assignments and ensure completion and documentation requirements are satisfied.
• Coordinate external training providers, vendors, and equipment manufacturers for specialized training programs.
• Support the introduction of new equipment, technologies, and processes through effective training implementation.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, observations, employee feedback, and operational performance metrics.
• Prepare reports and provide recommendations to leadership regarding training outcomes and improvement opportunities.
• Partner with other Hubbell facilities and business units to standardize training materials, processes, metrics, and best practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying workforce development opportunities and capability gaps.
• Assist with training budgets, training equipment, and learning resource management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What will help you thrive in this role?

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience, Technical Education, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
  
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in training, workforce development, learning management, or a related role within a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
  
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, safety practices, quality systems, and operational workflows.
  
• Experience developing and delivering instructor-led, on-the-job, and computer-based training programs.
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  
• Experience maintaining training records, certification tracking, and compliance documentation.
• Strong organizational, project management, and administrative skills.
  
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  
• Strong presentation, facilitation, and coaching abilities.
  
• Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for training improvements.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly preferred
